Interview: A chat with CHILD'S PLAY 2's Christine Elise McCarthy!

Image
I recently had the opportunity to get know CHILD'S PLAY 2 actress Christine Elise McCarthy a little bit.  So what's the "badass teen rebel Kyle" up to nowadays?  Let's find out!

First off, let me start with the typical fanboy swoon and saw what an honor and privilege it is for the opportunity to as you a few questions.

So, let's begin, shall we...

You recently published your debut novel, Bathing & The Single Girl, which was based on a short film of the same name, which you wrote, directed and starred.  Now, has writing been something you've always been passionate about or something relatively new?  Besides screenplays and teleplays, that is.
I have always been interested in writing -- since I was a child.  I have always been a big reader & book collector so authors are the rock stars of my life.  My favorite authors are: Charles Bukowski, John Fante, James Ellroy, Harry Crews, Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler & Brett Halliday.  I tried writing…

More past characters to return for CHUCKY 7!

Image
Back in October, yours truly was fortunate enough to attend the 16th Anniversary, Bride of Chucky cast reunion held by Kory Davis in Santa Monica California. Stars Jennifer Tilly, Nick Stabil and Alexis Arquette participated in a Q n A panel with Producers Corey Sienega and Series creator Don Mancini who attended wearing Jessies screen used wardrobe from Bride. No, not the sweaty muscle shirt from the car washing scene, the brown  cowhide leather jacket and large skull belt buckle worn by Alexis Arquette's character .

One notable and hilarious moment at the momentous event was star Jennifer Tilly's haphazard revelation that she was jealous of Don Mancini's and series new comer Fiona Dourif's, (also in attendance), new working/friendship. She joked, how she felt she was being squeezed out of the series. That is   until according to her "Don found the perfect balance between series veteran Tilly and Dourif which includes her character "Tiffany" trying to …

So take this as confirmation that Mancini has Chucky on the brain, which is always a good thing to us!

Looking at the Devil's Lair scene in CHILD'S PLAY 3

Image
Okay, so let's take a look at the climax of CHILD'S PLAY 3.  It is set at a carnival that's near the military school (Kent Military School) where the film mostly takes place, in an attraction called the Devil's Lair -- basically a fun house that you ride through.  And way better than any one I've ever been through in my life.

But basically, one of of the best endings in the franchise occurs in CHILD'S PLAY 3.  At the Devil's Lair.  In essence, it changed the course of the franchise.

So after the incident at "the old Jeep" where Shelton is accidentally killed by a live round and Whitehurst jumps on a grenade, Tyler takes off towards the carnival with Chucky in pursuit -- and Andy and De Silva follow after.

Shortly after Chucky reconnects with Tyler, he wastes no time looking for a place to complete the chant and transfer his soul into Tyler.

And that's when it happens, Chucky notices the funhouse, aptly named the Devil's Lair.  They enter.

Custom Mezco 15 inch (Charred Chuck)

Image
Hey Everyone! Very excited to have the new site up! I wanted to share a custom mod that I recently completed. I used a Mezco "Stitched" Chucky doll and converted it to look like the burnt, charred Chucky from the final scenes of the original Child's Play.

It was a lot of fun but it took a long time to complete as I was only working on it for short periods of time on nights and some weekends.

I used a combination of Liquid Latex and tissue paper and cotton to mold the face and Burned and weather the clothes with a lighter and lots of ash and suit. I then painted and added details.

I may be making a small run of these in the future but for now it's a one of a kind!

CHECK OUT THE VIDEO LINK BELOW:

Hope you like it! LONG LIVE CHUCKY!
